Daughter quoted: My 94yr old mom fracture her hip during a fall at the nursing home and was seen by Dr Gupta and he helped my mom tremendously. Recovery was very successful and my mother was able to move around. Another incident happened and we felt comfortable with him so we consulted with him again, she is much better and placed at another nursing home where she is happy and doing well.

Before my operation I had lots of pain and couldn’t move around and decided to see Dr Gupta. He is very organised and his staff is very helpful. An 80 year old who feels great and satisfied. He came to visit me at the rehab centre and he is someone I can call my friend.

The evening of 24th August, 2016, is rather ingrained into my mind. An exciting evening, as I thought that I was attending my younger granddaughter's 10th (double figures) birthday! Instead, I slipped and fell on an over polished wooden floor, sustaining a fractured right hip, and right wrist. An ambulance was called, and so began quite an adventure. Amazing and dedicated paramedics, administered initial care and treatment, and transported me to Rondebosch Medical Centre, where I was X-rayed and admitted to a ward, and given further analgesia and care. And, Dr H Gupta was the orthopaedic surgeon on call. He, and my husband really championed my cause/dilema, as our medical aid situation, steadily became a dire problem. Here, I must thank Elizabeth, for all her help, time and input too. Finally, a rather dramatic decision was reached, enabling me to undergo the somewhat necessary surgery to rectify said trauma fractures. Throughout this timeframe, I felt safe and secure, and underwent a total hip replacement, and open reduction and internal fixation of my wrist. I wish to mention and laud an amazing Anaesthetist, Dr N Plaatjes, the operating theatre staff, ICU and ward staff, and the physiotherapist, for their excellent and caring work ethic throughout my hospital stay. My deepest gratitude to Dr Gupta though, is of paramount importance. I consider myself to have been most fortunate, to have experienced his expertise and precision, and caring, whilst undergoing this major surgical procedure. For a year post surgery, I attended all my consultations, and appreciated his unwavering interest in my recovery and wellbeing. I am 75 years old, and within about 8 weeks postoperative, I was walking without a crutch, and no limp. Today, I lead a normal life, and can run, skip and hop, and dance! Obviously though, I'm wary, and therefore cautious, but I can "JOIE DE VIVRE"!!! Thank you Dr Gupta, and may you go from strength to strength in the years to follow. Wishing you many blessings.

Dr Gupta says he is not a magician, but he is the closest thing to a magician when I look at how my ankle was repaired. This is one Gupta South Africa really needs!!!
